Science Bowl Goals:
The National Science Bowl® and its regional competitions are math and science competitions among teams of high school students (grades 9-12) throughout the country. Texas A&M University is one of 61 host sites for this year's Science Bowl regional competitions. The program is designed to encourage students and teachers to achieve educational excellence in the sciences. The fast-paced question-and-answer categories are astronomy, biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, current events in the scientific community, computer, earth and general sciences.
Registration Opens: Registration is scheduled to open on October 1 at noon Eastern time.

Texas A&M Regional Junior Science Bowl will not offer the Solar Car Race.
The Texas A&M Regional Science Bowl champions win an expense-paid trip to compete for the national title in the U.S. Department of Energy's National Science Bowl®. Trophies are also awarded to the top 4 teams at the Texas A&M Regional Science Bowl.
At the nationals, 18 of the 61 teams in each division earn a monetary prize for their school.
Code of Ethics:
The goal of competition is to give one's best effort while displaying honesty, integrity and sportsmanship. Students, coaches, parents and guests are expected to display courtesy and respect toward Science Bowl officials, other teams, and guests of the Regional Science Bowl. Failure to show honesty and/or courtesy by a participant, coach or guest of the team may result in the disqualification of the team.

Educational Outreach and Women's Programs realizes that in any competition, differences of opinion about the judges interpretations may occur. It is the policy of the Outreach Programs to support the interpretations and final decisions of the judges panel.
The U.S. Department of Energy and its Science Bowl partners are dedicated to achieving the National Education goals. The National Science Bowl® was created to offer students who excel in math and science,and the teachers who have prepared them, a forum to receive national recognition for their talent and hard work.
